PMA Niger Phase 4 Household and Female Survey collects data in 102 enumeration areas (EAs) using a multi-stage stratified cluster design with urban-rural strata. The results are representative at the national level and within urban/rural strata. The final sample included 3,292 households and 3,840 de facto females who completed the interview for the cross-sectional sample.
Phase 4 panel data were collected among 4,203 women from Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 who consented to follow-up and aged 15-49y at Phase 4. 61.9% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 1 between December 2020 and April 2021, 19.4% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 2 between January and May 2022 and 18.7% of women enrolled in the panel survey at Phase 3 between November 2022 and February 2023. Of the 4,203 women eligible for the panel survey at Phase 4, 17.4% of were not reached for follow-up at Phase 4. Of those reached, 3,285 (78.2%) completed the survey, for a response rate of 98.2% among contacted women.
