Description:

PMA Kenya Phase 2 Household and Female survey collects national and county level representative data on knowledge, practice, and coverage of family planning services in 103 enumeration areas (EAs) using a multi-stage stratified cluster design with urban-rural strata. The final sample included 9,727 households and 9,323 de facto females who completed the interview for the cross-sectional sample. Data collection was conducted between November and December 2020.

Phase 2 panel data collection was conducted among females aged 15-49 at the time of the Phase 2 survey who were interviewed at the baseline survey between October and December 2019 and consented to follow-up. Of the 8797 eligible respondents, 19.5% were not reached for follow-up. Of those reached, 7018 (79.7%) completed the survey, for a response rate of 99% among contacted women.
